Textbook: James Stewart, Calculus: Early Transcendentals, 8th edition.

Prerequisites: Calculus I or equivalent is required, Calculus II or equivalent is recommended.

Help Room: If you need help with your homework or with the material of the course, you are encouraged to visit the help room, 406 Mathematics. At least one graduate student is always on duty in this room Monday through Friday during business hours. You may drop by whenever the help room is open. Lectures
The topics covered in the class include: Vectors and the Geometry of Space (Chapter 12), Vector Functions (Chapter 13), and Partial Derivatives (Chapter 14).

Homework
Instructions:
All HWs are due by 6:15pm. Leave it in the homework dropbox (located outside of 407 Mathematics). If you are unable to attend class on time, scan and send your HW by email to the TA.
All problems are from the textbook.
If your work is handwritten, please only use a pencil or a black/blue pen.
Please attach the cover page to your submitted hw (and staple the pages!).
Solutions are posted on courseworks (resources page) after the due date.

Exams
On both exams you are allowed to have one two-sided notes sheet.

Midterm: covers material from the first three weeks.

Final: covers all the material with emphasis on the 2nd half of the course.

Grading
Homework = 50%, Midterm = 20%, Final = 30%.
You may "challenge" any grade you receive. However, you must contact the TA within three days of the grade release date. Don't do things like change your answer and then ask for points, it's your honesty and decency at stake.
Contact the instructor if you are unable to reolve the issue with the TA.
